I love mountains and take any opportunity to photograph them. While visiting the Antarctic Peninsula in 2019 I took some mountain shots that I'm only just getting around to processing. (If you're wondering why it took me so long, I enrolled in a photography course and studied full-time for two years - the work for that meant that other tasks got put on the back burner.)
People often ask me why I love Antarctica so much. Many reasons come to mind. The size, the majesty, the colours ... they all contribute to my passion. But most of all I love the sense of peace that comes from being in such a remote place, and the sense of power. Rugged mountains, valleys carved by glaciers, massive icebergs - all created by the effect of the elements.
